[08/30/2010]Trouble with the getting started Spring MVC Web application with Eclipse.

I started out my first Spring MVC webapp and got stuck for two days for some hellish errors. My errors were “HTTP Status 404”, “The request resource is not available”,”JSTL cannot be resolved”…. So, after asking Mr.G, I know that most of my problems come from the server. Eclipse is lighter then Netbean IDE but sad thing is we have to config the server manually, which can lead us to some hellish errors. So, prepare those things:

1. JSTL
(http://faq.javaranch.com/view?JstlTagLibDefinitions_
2. Secondly, make sure that you have the latest commons- logging jar. (http://commons.apache.org/logging/download_logging.cgi)
3. Thirdly, make sure that you have the latest Apache Tom-cat.

That’s all. After that just follow these links to complete your first “Hello World” Spring MVC project.
